Upholstery & Drapery Cleaning

Delicate care for the fabrics you love.

At Magic Carpet Pride, we treat your fabrics with the same pride and precision as your floors. Upholstery and drapery require a delicate, customized approach—one that preserves color, texture, and quality while removing dust, allergens, stains, and odors. Our certified technicians are trained in fabric care and fiber identification, ensuring your items receive the safest and most effective cleaning possible.

Our Process – Step by Step

1. Inspection & Fabric Assessment

Every piece is different. Before we begin, we carefully inspect your upholstery or drapery to identify fabric type (natural, synthetic, blends, delicate fibers). Note areas of wear, stains, or damage determine the safest cleaning method (wet, low-moisture, or dry-cleaning approach).

We always check for colorfastness to prevent dye bleeding or fading.

2. Workspace Protection

We take steps to protect your home and surroundings. We set up protective tarps or towels around the work area. Use corner guards or foam blocks as needed to protect furniture and walls. Move small items to avoid overspray or damage.

3. Dry Soil Removal (Vacuuming)

Using HEPA-filtered vacuums and upholstery-safe tools, we gently remove dry soil, dust, pet hair, and dander. Prepare the fabric for deeper cleaning without grinding particles into the fibers. This step is crucial for allergy relief and improving air quality in your home.

4. Pre-Treatment & Spot Cleaning

We apply a gentle, fabric-safe pre-treatment solution to loosen embedded soil and body oils, begin breaking down spots and spills. Tough spots (like coffee, wine, ink, or pet stains) are treated with specialized stain removers selected for the fabric type.

5. Agitation (As Needed)

For heavily soiled areas, we use soft upholstery brushes or microfiber towels to gently work the solution into the fabric—enhancing the cleaning process without damaging fibers.

6. Rinse & Extraction

Depending on the fabric and soiling level, we use one of the following Low-moisture hot water extraction. Delicate fabric rinse using minimal water. Dry cleaning solvents for materials like silk or rayon. Our extraction tools are designed specifically for upholstery and drapery, allowing for deep cleaning with minimal water use, Faster dry times, No over-wetting or shrinkage.

7. Post-Cleaning Grooming after cleaning

Upholstery fibers are gently brushed or reset to restore texture and appearance. Cushions are repositioned for even drying and a uniform finish. Drapes are realigned to hang naturally

8. Optional Fabric Protector Application

We offer a premium fabric protector to extend the life of your furniture and window treatments. It helps repel spills and stains. Reduce wear and abrasion. Maintain that “just cleaned” look longer

9. Final Walk-Through & Customer Approval

Before we leave, we’ll review the results with you. Re-treat any stubborn spots if necessary. Provide care instructions for drying and maintenance. Dry Time for Upholstery typically dries within 2–4 hours, while some fabrics can take longer. Drapery, usually dries within 1–3 hours (with proper airflow).
